Decide four things: filter or softener, top or side mount, NB size from your flow, and manual or automatic. A filter valve cannot regenerate a softener.
Compatibility: Filter and softener versions are not interchangeable. Must match the vessel mounting, top or side. 20NB to 65NB.
Multiport valves automate the backwash, rinse and service cycles of a sand filter or softener vessel through a single easy-to-operate handle or timer.
